Diversity, equity, and inclusion
Since establishment in 2007, RBA Builders has fostered an environment that embodies diversity, equity, and inclusion through staying grounded in our Core Values. These values encourage and champion the participation of everyone in a
collective pursuit greater than the sum of its parts. At RBA, our genuine company culture, along with our core values, contributes to an organic experience of belonging, support, and inclusion.
When stepping into an RBA office or job site, it is easy to observe teams who take pride in creating collaborative and inclusive spaces that encourage diversity of thought. While RBA continues to stay rooted in our Core Values, we are equally committed to evolving our understanding of how these values can provide tangible avenues to personify what the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion can look
like in our workplace. Pairing this mindset with comprehensive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Training, has allowed RBA to seamlessly interweave the tenants of DEI into our business practices.
We do not view fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion as merely a business strategy. Rather, we view DEI as a commitment to effecting meaningful change within our workplace, industry, and the broader business community. By taking a collective effort to integrate and evolve our DEI efforts, we firmly believe that we can play a meaningful role in driving profound positive transformation in building the world that we want to see.
Ceo Action For Diversity & Inclusion
Robert Anderson, the CEO and founder of RBA Builders, has signed a CEO Pledge for DE&I, which is a commitment to make good on the inherent promise that all people should be able to bring their best selves to work and unleash their full potential. When Robert attended a meeting with the Founder of PwC’s Pledge for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, he listened to the message and purpose of the pledge, he was so deeply moved that he knew he needed to sign. “It made me realize that even though RBA has always been and will always be inclusive, we needed that platform,” Robert says, “to have a place for people to feel safe to be themselves, and for there to be compassion and understanding, that is my biggest hope.”
Women's initiative
When RBA Builders introduced the RBA Women’s Initiative, its main goal was to foster an empowering environment where women unite to amplify their voices and advocate for their progress within the construction field. Notably, while the industry’s average female representation stands at 10%, RBA’s workforce comprises an impressive 25% women. Through mentoring, networking, and open dialogue, the initiative strives to enhance this figure. By facilitating the exchange of insights and experiences, the RBA Women’s Initiative assists individuals in navigating the challenges and triumphs of being a Woman in Construction. Moreover, our initiative actively encourages participation in NAWIC (National Association of Women In Construction) through engagement in local chapter gatherings and volunteer opportunities.
